a.) Excess Available Energy in the Present Time is extracted / collected -  and Transferred for use in another application, if there is no present demand then this surplus energy is stored for future use.

Examples:

1.  Passive solar heat gain within a roof structure can be extracted for various applications such as preheating/heating domestic hot water, tempering a floor in a heating application or can be stored for future demand.

 

2.  Refrigeration   (temperature reduction) application extracts latent energy thus reducing the temperature. This collected heat energy can be  utilized in various applications such as preheating/heating domestic hot water, tempering a floor in a heating application or the excess energy can be stored for future demand.
